How to retain your old phone number on a new SIM/phone
Learn how to keep your existing phone number when switching to a new SIM card and phone, ensuring a seamless transition without losing any communication.

Changing Phones
If you are changing phones and want to keep your number
- Move the sim card from one device to the other.
- Make sure that the sim card is the correct size for the new device (it should be a snug fit).
If the old sim card won't work in your new phone and you need a new sim card, see below.

If you need a new sim card and want to keep your number
Lost phone/sim card
I lost my phone, could I get my old number on a new sim?
Even if you lost your Israeli phone/sim card, your number/s are still safe. You could keep your current phone number/s by moving them over to a new sim card.
This will cancel your old sim card!
Please come into our store to get a new sim card or pick up a new sim card at one of our dealers or 24 hour pickup locations. Find a location nearest to you here.
If you picked up a sim at one of our dealers or pickup locations you will have to update your account with the new sim card number with one of the below options:
- You could log into your account and update the sim card. See instructions under Specific Plan Changes - “To update your sim card”
- You could contact our customer support team and we will update the sim on your order.

Moving from a physical sim → eSim, eSim → physical sim or replacing an eSim for a new phone

Some new phones have no place for a physical sim card and will only work with an eSim
Esims can't be moved from one device to another.
If you are changing phones and/or you need a different type of sim card please see below.

If I reactivate service now, can I still get my old phone number?
Getting back an old number from a canceled plan
Once you cancel your plan the number goes back to the provider's pool of number and becomes unavailable to us.
It is therefore worth considering freezing your plan for future use, if the number is important to you.
