What is a prepaid sim?
A prepaid sim is a sim card that you pay in advance for 30 days of service.
The sim card is locked to the package added and will not allow any out-of-package usage.
Most prepaid SIM card packages allow local calls only. Some packages have no calling and only data.
If you run out of minutes or data/internet during the month you will have to add a new package for the next 30 days.
Prepaid sim cards are purchased and you don't need to return them
Many prepaid sim cards could be refilled at a later time, however, some expire.
Once you have a prepaid sim card you could reactivate it by phone.
Note:
- This is a SIM card only. You will need your own compatible device/phone.
- Customer service and technical support is by the provider

Cellular Israel prepaid SIM cards
Our Israeli prepaid sim cards are active for 1 month. They could be refilled at a later time.
Please note: When reactivating you will receive a different phone number.
Unlike long-term plans that have to be paid per month, these could be filled at random when you need a little more talk time or data.
The prices are a little higher than the long-term plans.
Cellular Israel offers price protection on their long-term plans, just like the price protection with prepaid plans, at lower rates, unlike other providers.

Please note:
These Waze plans have a unique feature called IMEI Lock!
What does it mean?
When the SIM is put in a Waze device, the SIM will lock to that device's IMEI, and will not work in any other device.
Furthermore, putting the SIM in a different device will disable that SIM card for good. Putting it back in the original device will not help.
Please contact us to resolve the issue (you may need a new SIM card).
If you get a different device and want to move the SIM into it please contact our Tech team to help, BEFORE moving the SIM into the new device.
Other providers' prepaid SIM cards
As far as we know Israeli prepaid sim cards never expire. They are always active for incoming calls and you won't lose the phone number.

Buying a prepaid sim

Rami Levy runs on Pelephone; Sky runs on Partner; Golan runs on Cellcom.
There is a fee for the sim card plus the price for the package added.

Filling a prepaid sim
If you already have a prepaid sim, you could call us to fill it up.
We can refill prepaid sims for most companies.
How to find out your phone number for a prepaid sim
The phone number should be on the card that the SIM card came in.
If you forgot your Israeli phone number, you can check the number from the prepaid Israeli sim card while you are in Israel by dialing:

As far as we know US prepaid sim cards usually expire between 3-6 months after the plan ends. After that the number is lost.
During that time they could be reactivated by calling the US provider directly or by calling Cellular Israel for a service fee.

Filling a prepaid sim
Cellular Israel service
If you already have a prepaid sim, you could call us to fill it up.
There is a service charge for filling your prepaid and could only be done if the sim card could get a text message.
We can refill prepaid sims for most companies.
Self-serve with US provider
Please call the US provider and have them fill the prepaid sim card.
They will also be able to tell you if it could be reactivated or not.
