Porting Policy
Porting in and out a number must be for a minimum of 6 months. That means you can’t port in and out your number just for bein hazmanim.

We can port your Israeli number from almost any carrier in Israel. (If it is with a private company you will have to unlock it before we will be able to port it)
Prepaid phone numbers have more restrictions.
- Porting in a number is free of charge
- Porting takes 24-48 business hours and may take up to two week.
- To port; the number has to be active and port onto an active sim.
How to port in your Israeli number
Porting into an Xtra plan

- Make sure to choose the option on the plan for porting in a number.
- Pick up the sim card.
- Once the sim is activated, check that it works in your phone
- Use this link to get a port code sent to your old sim card.
Please make sure your old sim card is in the phone and the phone is on so you will be able to get the code. - Enter the port code into the field for the code on the above link to start the porting process
When the old sim card stops working the number is ported and the new sim will have the number.
Porting into a Direct plan
- Contact us to place an order.
- Pick up the sim card.
- Once the sim is activated, check that it works in your phone
- Give us a call at 072-224-3300 to start the port process
- Please call the port code 0535353800 > it hangs up and calls back > you push 1 then it hangs up
When the old sim card stops working the number is ported and the new sim will have the number.

- To port; the number has to be active and port onto an active sim.

When you're ready to transfer your US number to your Israeli plan and part ways with your US service, follow these steps:
Contact your current provider and gather the following information:
Phone Number to port:
Losing Provider:
Account #:
Transfer PIN:
Billing Address:
Name on account:
Once you have this information, please submit this form, with the details, and upload your last billing statement.
As part of our service, Cellular Israel will provide you with a temporary US phone number during the approximately 2-week transfer process.
Please ensure the accuracy of the provided information, as each additional attempt will result in a $30 charge.

When you're ready to transfer your UK number to your Israeli plan and part ways with your UK service, follow these steps:
Contact your current provider and gather the following information:
Phone Number to port:
Current Network Provider :
Customer's Address in the UK:

PAC code:
Once you have this information, please sent us the details with your last billing statement to info@cellularisrael.com.
As part of our service, Cellular Israel will provide you with a temporary UK phone number during the approximately 2-week transfer process.

Porting out Israeli and US numbers

- After 6 months from your start date you can port out your number, there is a $15 processing fee.
- Less than 6 months, there is a $100 processing fee (Besides any cancellation fees)
- Porting times vary based on the receiving provider (between same day - 2 weeks). At times, numbers may not be able to ported out. [Please leave yourself enough time to port out the number]
The porting out process is mainly in the hands of the receiving provider and not in Cellular Israel's control. - Only an active number could be ported out.

Israeli Numbers

To port out your Israeli number you have to first contact Cellular Israel to release the number and to get any relevant information needed from the receiving provider.
We highly recommend porting out through Cellular Israel, by visiting our Israeli store location. This ensures a smoother process and allows us to address any issues that may arise. If the port is done elsewhere, there's a significant risk of it getting stuck, and Cellular Israel won't be able to provide service to assist with the port.
US/UK numbers
- Contact the US/UK carrier that you want to port to.
- Find out what information they will need to port out and let us know.

We can't port your US number for a short term plan.
We will provide you with a US number and you could request your current provider to forward your calls to the US number we provide.

After ordering a rental/plan with a Virtual Number from us, you can also set up call forwarding from your regular US cell number to this temporary virtual number!
This must be done with your US sim card and cannot be done from your Israeli sim card.
Please note: phone calls will be forwarded but SMS won’t go through.

For long-term plans, we have an option for you to port your US number to become the US number on your plan.
This will help you keep your US number without paying for your US service while you are in Israel.
Your family and friends will be able to call you on the same number they are familiar with.
It could be ported back when you finish the plan.

Call forwarding from an Israeli phone to a US phone

If you have an Xtra plan you could forward both of your phone numbers to a temporary US number when traveling to the US.
You could log into your account and set the call forwarding. See instructions under Specific Plan Changes - “Set up/cancel Call Forwarding”
